  1. What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a drug free way of treating illness allowing you to feel better, live a longer life with better quality and to stay free of disease. It can be used alone or to assist as a complimentary medicine with traditional medical treatments.

  2. What problems can Naturopathy help?
Naturopathy can help with acute (short-term) flu, stress, colds, lethargy and tiredness, as well as chronic (long-term) problems, such as anemia, allergies, constipation, cystitis, arthritis, bronchitis, hormone disturbances, candida, circulation problems, digestive disorders, eczema (as well as other skin conditions), irritable bowel syndrome, sinusitis and ulcers. In the case of long-term illness or life threatening disease, it can improve your resistance to infection thus decrease the risk of complications.

  3. How long are the consultations?
The length of a consultation can vary, depending on the individual client. A series of questions will be asked, and notes taken regarding your lifestyle, problems and medical history. We will discuss a treatment plan with you, which will vary according to individual needs.

  4. How many sessions will I need?
The length of treatment depends on each individual, the illness, and your age and your health status. Your practitioner will make future appointments according to the rate of healing and support needed by each individual client. The aim is for the healing process to be gradual and steady, whilst educating you to look after yourself.

  5. What can I expect at the initial consultation?
An initial consultation will take an hour and a half.
A thorough case history of your current health and past medical history will be taken.
An iridology assessment is used to assess where to prioritise and begin your treatment plan, iridology also helps with follow-up consults as to how effective the treatment plan is. Iridology is one of the most accurate forms of diagnosis as there is direct links to all the organs and tissues of your body.
Assessment of any pharmaceutical medications and natural supplements taken will be reviewed for possible interactions and to analyse if natural medicines taken are appropriate and in the correct form and dosage.
Please bring with you any tests taken within the last 3 years which will be used to assist with your treatment, e.g. liver function, thyroid hormones, kidney function, prostate PSA results, blood tests and cholesterol levels (including LDL, HDL and TG breakdowns).
Nutrition plays an important role in becoming well, so your diet will be revised so as to give you the best health benefits.
We will then work together as to what is the best treatment plan for you, which may include herbal medicine, homoeopathics, vitamins, minerals and or massage, counselling, diet, lifestyle changes, weight loss programs.

  6. What can I expect at follow up consultations?

Your natural medicines that have been prescribed will be reviewed as well as diet, lifestyle, stress, energy levels, exercise and sleep, your results will be monitored with iridology examinations. Any changes to treatment as health issues change will be evaluated.
